Kenneth Mann, age 69 of Mt. Airy, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Born in Concord, NC on February 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Elizabeth Jackson Mann. He was retired from Wal-Mart and was a dedicated and devoted member of Clarkesville Church of God. Mr. Mann served is country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques and helping others. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Mona Dale Mann and great granddaughter, Kaydence Elizabeth Mechelle Holler. Surviving are loving wife of 43 years, Gail Newell Mann of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Kendall & Susan Mann of Clarkesville; daughter, Teresa Nesbitt of Homer; brother, Charles Mann of Kannapolis, NC; grandchildren, Krystal Ashe, Brandon Thompson, Brittany Nichols, Lauren, Jacob and Lydia Mann; great grandchildren, Peyton and Conner Ashe, Dexter Thompson, Kyleigh and Jullian Nichols. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Clarkesville Church of God with Rev. Tim Tanner and Rev. Donald Newell officiating. Interment will follow in the Grant Reeves VFW Post Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720, Rabun County DAV Chapter #15, American Legion Post #84 and the Georgia National Guard Funeral Honors.
