Lee Worley

Lee Harlen Worley, Jr., age 76, of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born on March 11, 1937, in Hall County, he was a son of the late Lee Harlen, Sr. and Ola Simmons Worley. Mr. Worley was retired from Nu-Air of Georgia as a shipping manager, as well as Chicopee Manufacturing. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables and traveling. Mr. Worley was also a member of Belton Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Worley was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Souther Worley and a brother, Morgan Worley. Survivors include daughter and companion, Trudy Franklin and Cliff Myers of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Don Manus of Clermont; daughters, Linda Lee, Cathy Lee and Lisa Lee all of Gainesville; son, Noel Lee of Dahlonega; brothers, Gene Worley of Gainesville, Jackie Worley and Gordon Worley both of Lula; sisters, Louise Thomas of Lula and Betty Nix of Goosecreek, South Carolina; grandchildren, Evan Lee, Michael Mills, Steven Mills, Brandon Mills, Erica Lee, Michael, Miranda and Brittany; several great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Belton Baptist Church. All family and friends are requested to meet at the church by 1:45 pm on Sunday.
