Lois Chamblee Trotter Obituary

Lois Chamblee Trotter, age 83 of Demorest, passed away Monday, April 06, 2015, at her residence. Born in Rabun County on March 18, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Lester Verdo Chamblee and Dollie Bell Wilborn Chamblee. Mrs. Trotter was a homemaker and member of Old Nacoochee Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard, flowers, and sewing. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Horace, Fred, and Eugene Chamblee and sister, Lelia Gritzke. Surviving are loving husband, Lewis Trotter of Demorest; daughter, Sandra Trotter of Demorest; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Bill & Wanda Trotter of Clarkesville, Terry & Lane Trotter of Demorest, and Rev. Kenneth & Wanda Trotter of Demorest; brother, R. E. Chamblee of Rabun County; grandchildren, Deborah Chitwood, Lori Tench, Amanda Howard, Josh Gibson, Sonya Thomas, Jason Trotter, and Jennifer Jude; great grandchildren, Kayla, Hannah, Brooke, Brianna, Blake, Katie, Victoria, Savannah, Kaitlin, and Michaela; two great-great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 08, 2015, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Bill Trotter and Rev. Kenneth Pilcher officiating. Interment will follow in Victory Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Ricky Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday.
