Margie Morris

Margie Nell Elrod Morris, age 81 of Cornelia, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center. Born on March 06, 1932 in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lizzie Irvin Elrod. Mrs. Morris was a self employed chicken farmer and attended New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morris was also preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Lake Morrs; sisters, Helen Elrod Collins and Mary Elrod; brothers, Levis, James, Junior and Noah Elrod. Survivors include daughter, Peggy Ann Dorsey of Cornelia; sister, Shirley Moss of Cleveland; brother, Vernon Elrod of Cornelia; one granddaughter; special friends, Anthony Gosnell and Sandra King both of Cornelia. Memorial services will be held at a later date. McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home of Cornelia (706/778-8668) is in charge of arrangements.
