Marvin Thomas Brock, age 60 of Clarkesville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 04, 2016. Born in Covington, Georgia on August 20, 1955, he was the son of the late Roy Thomas & Lois Louise Medley Brock. Mr. Brock worked with Habersham Mills Corporation for many years and was currently employed with Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation. He was a very loving husband, father, & grandfather. Mr. Brock loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, painting houses, and had a true servant’s heart, helping others in any way possible. Mr. Brock was a faithful member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Cornelia. Survivors include loving wife, Martha Brock of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Miranda & Josh Kimsey, grandchildren, Adelyn & Raelyn Kimsey all of Cornelia; three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, several nieces, & nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 07, 2016 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Goss and Rev. Adam Humphries officiating. Interment will follow in the Habersham Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 p.m. & 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, June 06, 2016.
