Mary Hopper

Mary Dianne “Ann” Hopper, age 65, of Clarkesville, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born on August 23, 1948, in Rabun County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Juanita Justus Hopper. Ms. Hopper was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and was employed with North Fulton Water Treatment. She had been a lab technician for 22 years and was an avid reader, enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, traveling, crafts and scrapbooking. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hopper was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Suzanne “Suzie” Hopper; brothers, Robert “Mutt” Hopper and William Jack Hopper. Survivors include daughter, Aimee Smith of Clarkesville; sister, Margaret Wells, DDS, of Atlanta; brother, J.M. Rogers of Clayton; niece, Karen Brabson of Clayton; nephew, Isaac Rogers of Clayton; great niece, Josie Brabson; great nephew, Hayden Brabson. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 21, 2014 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church with interment to follow in Hills Crossing Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Thursday. An online guest register is available and may be viewed at www.mcgaheegriffinandstewart.com.
