Mary Taylor Smith

Mary Ellen Taylor Smith, age 57 of Toccoa, went to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Northeast Georgian Medical Center. Born in Spartanburg County on April 9, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Cliffton E. and Nancy Moore Taylor. Mrs. Smith was employed with Pak Pro and was an active member and door greeter of The River Church in Alto. She loved her church family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence, William, Carl, and Johnny Taylor. Survivors include husband of nine years, Steve B. Smith of Toccoa; daughter, Sally A. White of Anderson, SC; son, Kenneth Edward White, Jr. of Toccoa; sister, Nancy Bowen of Chester, SC; brother, James David Taylor of Chester, SC; grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrea and also several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, June 22, 2014, at The River Church with Pastor Debbie Roach and Pastor Jeryle Roach officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the church. In honor of Mary, donations may be made to The River Church, 184 Anderson Circle, Alto, GA 30510.
