Monica Lyne Harnas Westmoreland

Monica Lyne (Harnas) Westmoreland, age 49 of Lula, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021. Born in Rapid City, South Dakota at Ellsworth Air Force Base on January 22, 1972, she was the daughter of Thomas Harnas and the late Kathleen MacKnight. Monica graduated from Hammondsport High School in Hammondsport, NY. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her father, survivors include her husband, Kerry Westmoreland of Lula; her beloved sons Malcom Barkley of Sarasota, Fl and Hunter Westmoreland of Lula, step-daughters Ashley and Mariah Westmoreland of Lula; her father and step-mother Thomas and Sheryl Harnas of Hammondsport, NY; step-father Ronald MacKnight of Westfield, PA; father-in-law and mother-in-law Pat and Barbara Westmoreland of Lula; sister and brother-in-law Laureen and Mark Solari of Hudson, OH; step-sisters Jill Morris of Hammondsport, NY and Erin Morris of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Derek Howard officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral, P.O. Box 725, Cornelia, Georgia 30531, in order to help with funeral expenses. Those in attendance are asked to adhere to public health and social distancing guidelines regarding COVID-19.
