Nannie Lou "Nan" Marrett Gunn

Nannie Lou “Nan” Marrett Gunn, age 98, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 9, 1915, she was a daughter of the late James Marrett and Etta Brown Marrett. Mrs. Gunn was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She previously owned a restaurant in Clarkesville and enjoyed quilt making and sewing. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gunn was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin R. Gunn, as well as several brothers and sisters. Survivors include daughter, Audrey Turner of Atlanta; sons, Randy Gunn of Sarasota, Florida, Ray Gunn of Nicaragua, Ronnie Gunn of Townsend, Georgia and Lewis Wilbanks of Lawrenceville, Georgia; sister, Inez Cox of Jasper, Georgia; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Memorial graveside services will be held 3:00 pm Friday, June 13, 2014, at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bill Brannon officiating. All family and friends are requested to gather at the graveside by 2:45 pm on Friday. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Salvation Army - Georgia Division, 1000 Center Place, Norcross, GA 30093. McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home of Cornelia (706/778-8668) & Habersham Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
