Patricia Clay Johnson

Patricia Clay Johnson, age 74 of Cleveland formerly of Lula, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 18, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Collier Clay, Jr. & Sally Ruth Shuford Clay. Ms. Johnson enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved her dogs and collecting Native American artifacts. For many years she loved riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle and her Chevy Corvette. Ms. Johnson was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Priscilla West and a nephew, Alton Dalton. Survivors include her son, David Vernon Johnson of Alto, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Camille & Joel Myers of Cartersville, GA; nephews and wives, Donnie & Linda Crosby of Douglasville, GA, Patrick & Latisha Myers of Los Angeles, CA; niece and husband, Susan & Matt Smith of Athens, GA; many great-nieces & great-nephews, other relatives, special friends, Linda Evans of Cleveland, GA, Sheryl & Raymond Cantu of Jonesboro, GA, and Carol & Michael Crowder of Gainesville, GA. A time of celebration and remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 03, 2016 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
