Dear Jill & Family,
Unfortunately, I know all to well how you are feeling in this moment. It seems just a short time ago that I was in your situation with my mother. The best comfort I can offer you is to know that eventually your shock and devastation will dull and you will be able to focus on the happy memories you shared with your mother and wife. She was a wonderful person and put a smile on my face each time I visited your home.
