Phillip L. "Bush" Wade

Phillip L. “Bush” Wade, age 64 of Alto, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in Habersham County on June 26, 1953, he was a son of Cara Bonds Wade Dodd and the late Crawford “L. C.” Wade, Jr. Bush was a carpenter by trade and attended B. C. Grant Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed, traveling, fellowshipping with others, NASCAR, football, and other sports. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Wade, Sr.; sister, Gail Strickland; nephew, Calvin Turner. Surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny & Lela Wade of Alto and Jackie & Gloria Wade of Cornelia; sister, Judy Turner of Alto; sister and brother-in-law, Jan & Doug Gulley of Alto; also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Friday, November 24, 2017, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Anthony Cook and Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Wade Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.
