<p>Phillip Lewis “Phil” Garrison, age 74 of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and formerly of Cornelia, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016. </p><p>Born in Habersham County on April 2, 1941, he was a son of the late Rev. Clyde and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Rebecca Poole Garrison. Mr. Garrison was retired from Ethicon with 35 years of service. He also was owner and operator of Garrison Printing for 27 years. He was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, cars and NASCAR racing.</p><p>In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Rev. Garry, Farry, James and Hugh Garrison and sister-in-law, Fran Garrison. </p><p>He is survived by wife of 53 ½ years, Linda English Garrison of Pigeon Forge; son, Trent Garrison of Pigeon Forge; brother and sister-in-law, John and Brenda Garrison of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Ron Ellington of Cornelia; sisters-in-law, Gail Garrison of Cornelia, Diane Garrison of Alto and Wanda Garrison of Baldwin.</p><p>Celebration of Life services are 11 am Friday, January 15, 2016, in the Chapel of McGahee Griffin and Stewart. Interment will follow in the Garrison Family section of the Old Mud Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. </p><p>The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. </p><p>An online guest register is available and may be viewed at www.mcgaheegriffinandstewart.com.</p><p>McGahee-Griffin &amp; Stewart Funeral Home of Cornelia (706/778-8668) is in charge of arrangements.</p><p><br></p>
