Ralph Cash, age 63 of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his residence. Born in Ravenna, Ohio on June 04, 1948, he was a son of the late William Arnold and Cora Mae Edwards Cash. Mr. Cash was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church and was a retired softball coach. During his career he coached Little League Baseball, Basketball and Soccer and was assistant softball coach for Piedmont College. In addition to coaching Mr. Cash was also a furniture and cabinet maker for 22 years. Some of his hobbies included restoring antique muscle cars and golfing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cash was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Cash; brothers, Bill and Roger Cash; sister-in-law, Gloria Cash. Survivors include wife of 27 years, Sue Batson Cash of the home; son, Ralston Cash of Lakeland, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Tarah Cash of Flowery Branch; daughter and son-in-law, Megan and David Emig of Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Lillian Cash of Clarkesville; brother, Rev. Malcolm Cash of Suwanee; sisters, Joyce Eddy of Clarkesville and Joni Day of Turnerville. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Jeff Appling and Rev. Malcolm Cash officiating. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, from 6-9 pm on Thursday, also from 2-4 & 6-9 pm on Friday.
