Randall Dale Smith “Randy”, age 52 of Clarkesville, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Born in Stephens County, Georgia on September 10, 1959, he was a son of the late Bobbie Wooten Smith Barton and Jim Henry Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Smith Welborn. Mr. Smith was a lifelong truck driver and employed with Hulsey Environmental and attended Macedonia Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, mechanics, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a horse enthusiast, who owned and operated Circle R Ranch. Surviving are wife of 34 years, Judy Marie Smith of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Charlene McFall of Dalton, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Bruce Nations of Mt. Airy; daughter, Lynn Smith of Clarkesville; sister, Susan Parrish of Baldwin; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Friday, August 03, 2012, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Paris Whitworth and Rev. George Wooten officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 pm on Wednesday and from 3-5 & 7-9 pm on Thursday McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home of Cornelia (706/778-8668) is in charge of arrangements.
