Rennie M. Fry, age 72 of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, December 02, 2010, at his residence following a brief illness. Born in Habersham County on January 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Emory Milton and Nettie Louise Johnson Fry.Mr. Fry was a member of Line Baptist Church, the Cornelia Masonic Lodge #92 F. & A.M. and was also a U.S. Army veteran.He retired as a salesman with 32 years of service and after retirement worked as a security guard with Piedmont College.Mr. Fry enjoyed working and reading and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan.He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are wife of 31 years, Betty Fry of Mt. Airy; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Milton Wilson of Mt. Airy; daughters, Maxine Fry of Cleveland and Judy Roberts of Mt. Airy; sons, Steve Gulley and Larry Gulley both of Mt. Airy; brother, Duane Fry of Gainesville; sister, Necis Copeland of Gainesville; granddaughter and fiancée, Kayla Wilson and Kevin Clark; granddaughter and husband, Tarra and Jeffrey Jackson; grandson, Jordan Roberts and granddaughter, Amber Gulley. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 05, 2010 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating.Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720, Rabun County DAV Chapter #15 and the Habersham County American Legion Post #84.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Saturday.The family is at the residence of daughter, Judy Roberts, 121 King Richard Court, Mt.
