Russell Dewayne Todd, age 53, of Alto, Georgia (formerly of Coweta, OK) passed away peacefully at his home in Alto, Georgia after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday afternoon, January 31, 2012. He was born on July 6, 1958 in Broken Arrow, OK to his parents, Joe A. and Emma (Joice) Todd. Russell worked as a self-employed carpenter for more than 35 years. Russell and Anita Carol Goodell were married on April 10, 1987 in Clarksville, Georgia. Russell’s hobbies included hunting and canoeing. Russell is lovingly survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Anita Todd of the home in Alto, Georgia; his children, Britne Mottinger and husband, Brian, of McLoud, OK and Natasha Todd of Gainesville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Cayson and Carsyn Mottinger and one granddaughter due in June; his sisters, LaDonna Blake and husband, Kenneth, of Anchorage, Alaska, LaRena Meadows and husband, Brent, of Coweta, OK, and Linda Fletcher of Tulsa, OK; his step-father, Vernon Londagin; his step-mother, Jane Todd; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Russell was preceded in death by his father, Joe A. Todd, his mother, Emma L. Londagin, his grandparents, Virgie May and Benjamin Bryan Joice and Maudie Jane and Walter Elmer Todd. Funeral services for Russell are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Haner-Adair Cemetery in Locust Grove, OK. Pallbearers are Brian Mottinger, Mark Goodell, Don Olden, Brent Meadows, Ernie Joice, and David Seals.
