Sandra Black

Sandra Luthi Black, age 62, of Clarkesville, GA, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in Toccoa, GA on October 17, 1948, she was a daughter of the late J.B. and Velma McClellan Luthi. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry “Old Man” Black; son, Jody Black; sister, Mary Ann Martin. Mrs. Black was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include daughters, Melissa Brown of Clarkesville and Mandy Black of Clarkesville; brothers, Mitchell Luthi of Clarkesville and Michael Luthi of Alto; sisters, Darlene Arrowood of Demorest, Rachel Waddell of Alto and Karen Adams of Oakwood; 6 grandchildren, Nicole East, James Brown, Keith Brown, Dustin Black, Isabell Black and Miranda Alford; 3 great-grandchildren, Seth East, Winter East and Casen Brown; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 3:30 pm Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Ralph Smith officiating. Interment will follow at B.C. Baptist Church Cemetery.
