Scott Craven

Scott Mitchell Craven, age 41, of Mt. Airy, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Habersham County Medical Center. Born in Toccoa, GA on April 18, 1970, he was a son of Wallace Loudermilk Craven and the late Billy Ernest Craven. Mr. Craven lived most of his life in Habersham County, was a member of Central Heights Baptist Church and White Oaks Hunting Club. He was employed with Ethicon. Mr. Craven was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and a racing fan. Most of all, he was a loving son and father. Survivors include his son, Peyton Mitchell Craven of Mt. Airy; mother, Wallace Craven of Mt. Airy; brothers, Ernie Craven of Clarkesville and Doug Craven of Clarkesville; sisters, Tracy Lewallen of Lula and Laura Gayle Jackson of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Wayne Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Georgia Mountains Christian Academy, 2664 Highway 197 South, Mt.
