Steven Parker Obituary

Steven “Bigun” Parker, age 41 of Baldwin, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center. Born on June 19, 1971 in Hall County, he was the son of Lamar and Dolly Gerrells Parker of Baldwin. Mr. Parker was employed as a dump truck driver with Holcomb’s Paving and formerly with Herrin’s Trucking. He was of the Holiness faith and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lowell and Mattie McDuffie Gerrells and Dave and Chloe Darnell Parker, as well as a niece, Breanna Mann Campbell. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Charles Campbell of Alto; special friends, Mack and “Toad” Galloway of Demorest. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 03, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Pastor John Graham, Rev. Clarence Reynolds and Mr. Daniel Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in the Parker Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Tuesday. The family is gathered at the residence of Charles & Theresa Campbell, 218 West Coker Rd, Alto, GA 30510.
