Tommy Coley Dodd

Tommy Coley Dodd, age 70 of Alto, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at his residence. Born in Habersham County on September 8, 1943, he was a son of the late Travis and Esther Coley Dodd. Mr. Dodd was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed watching baseball, football, and boxing. He also was a fisherman who played horse shoes and cards. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by his sister, Shelby Jean Stewart; brothers, Wilkie, Henry, & David Dodd. Survivors are son, Tony Dodd of Mt. Airy; sisters, Lillian Dodd of Alto and Mary Hopkins of Lula; brothers, Thurston Dodd of Lula, Milton Dodd of Alto, and Dennis Dodd of Clarkesville; also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and other friends and family. Mr. Dodd’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. An online guest register is available and may be viewed at www.mcgaheegriffinandstewart.com.
