William Charles Hembree

WILLIAM CHARLES HEMBREE, age 76, of Cornelia, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in Banks County, on October 23, 1937, he was a son of the late Walter Hembree and Lommie Cain Hembree. Mr. Hembree was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church and was a retired parts manager with James Short Ford. He had previously owned and operated Hembree Trucking. He was a master mechanic who enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hembree was also preceded in death by sister, Mary Elizabeth Hulsey. Survivors include wife of 47 years, Winnie Grace Stephens Hembree of Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Tina Hembree of Hiawassee; grandson, Dylan Hembree of Hiawassee; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Dot Hembree of Greenwood, South Carolina; brother-in-law, Jason Hulsey of Cleveland; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 25, 2014, at New Bridge Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Robinson, Rev. Darren Cain and Rev. W.A. Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
