Ann Waters

Ann Waters, 83, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday March 1, 2015 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a period of declining health. Born September 21, 1931 in Hall County to the late Reid and Gertrude Long, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. A homemaker at her death, Ann retired from Sears after many years of service. She was a member of Juno Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Waters; grandson, Stephen Waters; and brother, Lanier Long. Surviving are her children, Edwin Waters, Dawsonville, Barbara Waters, Dawsonville; step daughter and son in law, Virginia and Omar Orr, Jacksonville, FL; grandson, Derek Waters and his wife Megan; and number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 4, 2015 at 1 o’clock at Juno Baptist Church. Rev. Tommy Weldy, Rev. Dennis Bottoms, and Rev. Tim Biddy will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 until 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Juno Baptist Church, P. O.
