Barbara A. Knight, 68, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday November 22, 2011 at her home following a period of declining health. Born July 23, 1943 in Yonkers, NY to the late Michael and Elizabeth Marshall, Mrs. Knight had lived in Dawson County for the past 6 years having moved from Wilmington Island. A homemaker at her death, she was a former executive secretary and attended Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Barbara was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Knight. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Ronald Knight, Dawsonville; children, Don and Shannon Knight, Abbeville, AL, Michelle and Tony White, Cumming; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Debbie Conley, New Jersey, Wendy Marshall, New Hampshire. Memorial services will be held Saturday November 26, 2011 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brian Higgins will officiate.
