C. I. Robinson, Jr., 96, of Dawsonville died Saturday August 1, 2009 at his residence following a period of declining health. Born July 31, 1913, in Dawson County to the late Charles I.,Sr. and Lizzie Taylor Robinson, Mr. Robinson was a lifelong resident of Dawson County and was a retired painter. He was also a former bus driver for the Dawson County School System. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Clara Parks Robinson, four sisters and two brothers. Surviving are his children, Gary and Myra Robinson, Devon, PA, Marsha Lynn Robinson, Dawsonville, Sharon and Danny Fausett, Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Herbert and Blanche Robinson, Oakwood; grandchildren, Leslie and Eddie Escamilla, Tracie Bolton, Brett Fausett; great grandchildren, Drew Escamilla, Maya Escamilla, Tyler Bolton; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Monday August 3, 2009 at 2 o’clock at the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville. Dr. Jim Gaines will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
