Carolyn Ann "Granny" Chambers

Carolyn Ann “Granny” Chambers, 68, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday June 7, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. Born November 19, 1943 in Hall County to the late Fulton and Cordie Passmore, she lived in Dawson County for the past 49 years. Mrs. Chambers was a homemaker who was devoted to her family. The pleasures in her life were caring for children, camping, and crafts, especially needlework. She was a member of Mercy Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lula Mae Chambers, Wanda Passmore; brothers, Harley “Buck” Walden, and Frank Walden. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Curtis Chambers, Dawsonville; children, Wesley and Rosalind Chambers, Dawsonville, Jeff and Shelley Chambers, Dawsonville, Sheila and Charles Grizzle, Cumming, Greg Chambers, Dawsonville, Kenneth Chambers, Dawsonville; sister, Freida Chambers, Flowery Branch; brother, Robert Passmore, Gainesville; sisters in law, Peggy Ann Walden, Gainesville, Annie Walden, Gainesville, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Sunday June 10, 2012 at 2 o’clock at Mercy Baptist Church. Rev. Tommy Ross will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
