Curtis Bales Obituary

Curtis Lee Bales, 60, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday February 6, 2011 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a sudden illness. Born October 24, 1950, Mr. Bales was a native of Alpharetta and had lived in Dawson County for 30 years. He owned and operated Bales Trucking, Inc. and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Bales. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Renee Mayer Bales, Dawsonville; children, Gretchen Chadwick and Craig Miller, Jonesboro, Michelle Bales, Cumming, Selena Bales, Cumming, Marriah Bales, Dawsonville, Tatum Bales, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Zachary Chadwick, Alexis Carvalho; mother, Willie Grace Mashburn, Dahlonega; sister and brother in law, Sue and Charles Cates, Dahlonega; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 9, 2011 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Joe Gaines and Rev. Sven Mossenger will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 until 9 at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.beardenfuneralhome.com.
