Edith Pinion Gee, 88, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday January 3, 2017 at her residence following a period of declining health. Born June 30, 1928 to the late John Wesley and Ruby Pinion, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. A homemaker at her death, Edith and her husband formerly operated a poultry farm. She was of the Baptist faith and was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Junior Gee; daughter, Sandra Cain; son, Dennis Wayne Gee; three brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her children, Judy and Larry Sheffield, Jimmy and Paulette Gee, David and Kathy Gee, Phyllis and Bradley Mooney, all of Dawsonville; son in law, Royce Cain, Dawsonville, 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Eloise Bramblett, Dawsonville, Kathleen Goswick, Dawsonville, Margaret Porter, Atlanta; sisters in law, Annie Lou Pinion, Dawsonville, Anne Gee, Dawsonville; brother in law, Albert Gee, Cleveland; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday January 6, 2017 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rodney Pilcher and Rev. Tom Stradley will officiate.
