Estie J. Holliday, 94, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday January 2, 2014 at her residence following a period of declining health. Born January 7, 1919 in Gilmer County, Georgia to the late Ed and Hattie Wilson, Mrs. Holliday also lived a number of years in Dalton and Ellijay. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dawsonville Church of God of Prophecy. Estie was also preceded in death by her husbands, Winston Sosebee, Floyd “Sarge” Holliday; daughters, Nancy Sosebee, Norma McKinnon; and sons, Edward Sosebee and Kenneth Sosebee. Surviving are her daughter, Helen Cowart, Dawsonville; daughter in law, Judy Sosebee, Dalton; son in law, Harry McKinnon, Tunica, MS; 12 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday January 5, 2014 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Tim Bennett will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
