Ethel Loraine Garner, 86, of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Chelsey Park Health and Rehab. She was born on October 22, 1931 to the late Willie and Bessie Brookshire. She was a life long resident of Dawson County and a member at Liberty Baptist Church, Dawsonville, Georgia. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to garden and bird watch. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jack Garner; son, Charles Edward Owen. She is survived by her son, James Randall Owen of Dawsonville, GA; brother, James Brookshire of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Randall Scott Owen of Dawsonville, GA, Angela and Everett Gilbert of Lula, GA; great grandson, Owen Uriah Gilbert; and numerous other relatives. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Chris Segars officiating, interment will follow the service at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, Dawsonville, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
