Eula Idelle Evans, 96, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday September 28, 2011 at Gold City Convalescent Center following a period of declining health. Born December 15, 1914 in Hall County to the late Ode and Ommie Kemp Elliott, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. A homemaker at her death, for many years she and her husband owned and operated a poultry farm. Mrs. Evans was a member of Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church and was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Evans; son, David Evans; son in law, J. S. Seabolt; sisters, Cora Lou Evans, Annie Mae Martin, Mayona Enyeart; brothers, Homer Lee Elliott, Joe Elliott, and Jack Elliott. Surviving are her children, Kenneth and Willie Nell Evans, Dawsonville, Polly Seabolt, Dawsonville, Dorothy and Phil Kinsey, Clermont; sister, Johnnie Nell Cothran, Dawsonville; brother, Clay Dean Elliott, Cleveland; special granddaughter, Kayla Gee, Dawsonville; twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 1, 2011 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Katie Franklin Lancaster and Rev. Leroy Blackwell will officiate. Interment will follow in the Etowah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 9 and all day Friday.
