Fannie Lou Martin

Fannie Lou Martin, 91, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday February 19, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health. Born March 3, 1923 in Lumpkin County to the late Harvey and Rendy Dispain, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. A homemaker most of her life, she was also formerly employed at Hasco. Mrs. Martin was also preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Martin; sons, Lane Martin, L. E. Martin; daughter, Linda Taylor; and several sisters and brothers. Surviving are her children, Egbert and Nickey Martin, Gainesville, Wayne and Becky Martin, Gainesville, Betty and Richard Reeves, Gainesville, Judy and Bobby Dills, Dawsonville, Lorrie Picklesimer, Dawsonville; brother, Morris Dispain, Comer, GA; 32 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 21, 2015 at 3 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Owens and Rev. L. C. Bennett will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
