Frances Denard

Frances Denard, 96, of Dahlonega passed away Wednesday November 11, 2015 at New Horizons following a period of declining health.<br>Born May 13, 1919 in Anderson, South Carolina, she had lived in Lumpkin County since 1992 having moved from Holliday, Florida. A homemaker at her death, during the 1950’s she, along with her husband, owned and operated the F & M Restaurant in Dawsonville. Frances was a member of Dawsonville Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion Simpson Denard; son, Marion “Butch” Denard; and son in law, W. A. Hardin.<br>Surviving are her daughter, Patricia “Patsy” Hardin, Dahlonega; daughter in law, Joyce Denard, Dahlonega; brothers in law and sisters in law, Clarence and Jean Denard, Dawsonville; Wendell and Ann Denard, Watkinsville; grandchildren, Tracey and Joey Taylor, Greg and Shannon Goswick, Chris and Lisa Goswick, Shane and Melissa Hardin, Rodney and Angie Denard; twelve great grandchildren; a number of step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and other relatives.<br>Funeral services will be held Saturday November 14, 2015 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. James Dumas will officiate.
