Glen Amburn

Glen C. Amburn, 50, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday July 9, 2014 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a short illness. Mr. Amburn was form October 9, 1963 in Licking, Missouri and had lived in Dawson County for the past 25 years. He owned and operated G’s Barber Shop in Dawsonville and was an avid farmer who loved raising cattle. Glen was a U. S. Army veteran and was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Carl H. and Agnes Amburn. Surviving are his wife of 10 years, Lauren Amburn, Dawsonville; daughter, Sarah Newton, Dawsonville; mother, Leona Furr, South Carolina; sisters and brother in law, Tammy and David Holifield and their two children, South Carolina, Gloria Johnson, Ohio; brothers and sister in law, Terry Amburn, Missouri, Maurice Scott, Tampa, Florida, Carl, Jr. and Cassandra Amburn, Missouri, Lee Johnson, Missouri; and a number of other relatives.
