Howard R. “Bob” Schmidt, 67, of Dawsonville, formerly of Milford, Michigan, passed away Saturday January 15, 2011 at his residence. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved son, Kurt; parents, Howard and Lila; and father in law, John Jackovich. Surviving are his loving wife, Judy; children, Bob and Lisa Schmidt, Craig and Jennifer Schmidt; grandchildren, Chantal, Brendan, Hailey, Autumn, Caston and Colton Schmidt, Erika and James Slago; great granddaughter, Sonya Schmidt; sister, Elizabeth McGill; nephew, John McGill; mother in law, Pauline Jackovich and many extended family members and dear friends. A funeral mass will be held Friday January 21, 2011 at 11 o’clock at St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows Parish, 1955 E. Commerce Road, Milford, Michigan. Fr. Ron Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Southfield. The family will receive friends Thursday from 3 until 9 at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, Michigan, with the Rosary being said at 7 p.m. Memorials made to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
