Jere C. Hulsey

Jere C. Hulsey, 78, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday June 29, 2014 following a period of declining health. Born May 27, 1936 in Lumpkin County to the late Clint C. and Vera Parks Hulsey, Mr. Hulsey had been a resident of Dawson County most of his life. Jere retired as an inspector with the U. S. D. A. after over 30 years of service. He was a member of Dawsonville Baptist Church, was a U. S. Army veteran and was also preceded in death by his father in law and mother in law, Henry and Lillian Taylor, and a nephew, Eddie Grogan. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Peggy Hulsey, Dawsonville; son, Clint Hulsey, Roswell, GA; daughter and son in law, Melissa and Greg Sheriff, Dawsonville; granddaughter, Amanda Sheriff, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Joanna and Glenn “Hoss” Grogan, Cumming; brother and sisters in law; Stephen and Linda Hulsey, West Point, GA, Martha Taylor, Dawsonville; nieces and nephews, Ginger Power, David and Julie Grogan, Stephanie and Tommy Falkenberry, Michael and Carrie Hulsey. Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Russell Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dawsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 until 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dawsonville Baptist Church, P. O. Box 935, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
