Joan Sapp, 83, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday May 17, 2020 following a period of declining health. Born November 14, 1936 in Alexandria, Virginia to the late George and Orrie Etters, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 24 years having moved from Waycross, GA. Mrs. Sapp was a homemaker and was very devoted to her family. She enjoyed reading the British Cozy Mysteries and shopping. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Sapp; son, Harry Neil Sapp; and sisters, Carole Etters, and Gene Etters. Surviving are her children, Letitia Sapp, Dawsonville, Jamie and Debi Sapp, Alamo, CA; granddaughters, Emily DeGrace (Chris), Jordyn Sapp, Rylie Sapp; great grandson, Corbin DeGrace. Graveside services will be held Tuesday May 26, 2020, at 3:30 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Mike Owens will officiate.
