John Vernon Bryant, 71, of Marble Hill passed away Tuesday October 10, 2017 at Season’s Hospice. Born September 16, 1946 in McKeesport, PA to the late Vernon and Josephine Bryant, he lived in Dawson County for the past 13 years having moved from Roswell. Mr. Bryant retired as a building contractor specializing in residential construction. John was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of Viet Nam and was a member of the Viet Nam Veterans of America. He enjoyed bass fishing and was a member of River Bend Gun Club where he enjoyed competing in action pistol matches. A member of Grace Presbyterian Church, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Charles Bryant. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Linda Bryant, Marble Hill; children, John V. Bryant, Jr., Marble Hill, Susan and Mike Ganucheau, Sandy Springs; grandchildren, Ethan Ganucheau, Brendan Ganucheau; brother and sister in law, Mike and Marsha Bryant, Scottsdale, Arizona.
