Karen Smith

Karen Elaine Smith, 61, of Dawsonville, GA passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. She was born to the late Jack Alfred and Mary Jane Kilgore. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, that loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family. Karen is preceded in death by her brother, Marshall Kilgore and sister, Deborah Chastian. She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Smith of Dawsonville, GA; children, Corey and Chelsea Harper of Dawsonville, GA, Josh Harper of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Gracey, Jesse, Emma, and Abigale; brother, Casey and Kim Kilgore of Waleska, GA; sister, Susan and Walker Shealy of Marble Hill, GA; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 16. 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Owens officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
