Katherine Kent, 66, of Cumming died Friday December 4, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital following a period of declining health. Born September 17, 1943 to the late Ferman and Lula Belle Kent, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. Katherine retired from Wal-Mart in Cumming after 25 years of service and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack W. Kent. Surviving are her children, Michael S. and June Bozeman, Gainesville, Valerie and Todd Binning, Cumming, Vanessa and Jim Williams, Lebanon, TN, Gayle Beebe, Dawsonville, Janice and Danny Harben, Dawsonville, Debbie Rowell, Dawsonville, Sherri and Bob Kelly, Dacula; sister and brother in law, Marie and J. M. Burt, Alpharetta; brother and sister in law, Michael and Kathryn Kent, Savannah; grandchildren, M. J. Bozeman, Zoey Bozeman, Avery Binning, Elijah Williams, McKenzie Williams, Ashley Williams, Jimmy Williams, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Monday December 7, 2009 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Noel Ferman Burt and Dr. Sam Newman will officiate.
