Landon Daugherty, 38, of Gainesville passed away suddenly on Friday May 8, 2015 in Gastonia, NC. Born June 18, 1976 in Eustis, Florida, he moved to Georgia in 1993 and had been living in Forsyth County since 2008. Landon owned and operated Summit Home Improvements, Inc. and enjoyed riding his Harley and camping. He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Daugherty. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Daugherty, Gainesville; daughters, Amanda Daugherty, Clinton, MO, Allie Wade, Clinton, MO, Kara Parker, Gainesville; son, Thomas Parker, Gainesville; grandsons, Caden Daugherty, Michael Daugherty; mother and stepfather, Cindy and Terry Gillim, Dawsonville; grandmother, Connie Wood, Dawsonville; sisters and brother in law, Lisa and Jeff Barrow, Fayetteville, Tara Gillim, Hanover Park, IL, Tina Valazquez, Streamwood, IL; brothers and sisters in law, Lee and Erin Morgan, Lawrenceville, Kurtis and Penny Daugherty, Cookville, TN; mother in law, Dollie Wilkins, Gainesville; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Stanley Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow in the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Gainesville. The family will receive friends Monday from 3 until 8 at the funeral home.
