Lillian Dunn, 87, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday July 15, 2014 at Chestnut Ridge Nursing Center following a period of declining health. Born June 23, 1927 in Hutchinson, Kansas to the late Ralph and Sadie Purvis, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 8 years having moved from San Diego. Lillian was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Pilgrim Mill Ward and had served diligently in her church in Dan Diego and Dahlonega. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Dunn, Sr. and several sisters and brothers. Surviving are her children, Hobert, Jr. and Janet Dunn, Phoenix, AZ, Michael and Nina Dunn, Dawsonville, Nova and John Reagles, Oak Harbor, Washington; sisters, Esther Luke, Kansas, Carol Mitchel, Kansas; brothers, James Purvis, California, Joseph Purvis, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday July 19, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dahlonega Ward. Condolences may be expressed at www.beardenfuneralhome.com.
