Linda “Wrink” Grant, 62, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday July 28, 2011 at her residence following a sudden illness.
Born April 29, 1949 to the late Charles Alton and Lillian Grant, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Linda was a graduate of Dawson County High School and attended North Georgia College and the University of Georgia earning a degree in Social Work. She was formerly employed by the Dawson County School System and she served on the Dawsonville City Council and as Mayor Pro-tem. She enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson, Trikes and working with crafts. Linda was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and the Abate and Hog Club.
Surviving are her son, Dakota Grant, Dawsonville; niece and nephew, Niki and Corey Eubanks.
Funeral services will be held Sunday July 31, 2011 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 4 until 9 at the funeral home.
