Linda Williams

Linda Williams, 64, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday August 8, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. Born August 26, 1947 in Cambridge, MA to the late Cecil and Alma Dickson, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 21 years having moved from Panama City, FL. Linda received her Bachelors degree from Ashford University and served as President of the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce for 16 years until her retirement one month ago. She was devoted to the Dawson County community and gave her time to many organizations. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Khristina McArthur. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Marty Williams, Dawsonville; daughter, Angela Lackey, Brooks, GA; granddaughters, Kayla Lackey, Rebecca McArthur; sister in law and brother in law, Joyce and Richard Arcement, Kenner, LA; niece, Katherine Arcement, Kenner, LA; nephew, Richard Arcement, Jr., Mobile, AL; cousins, Daryl Coleman, Shirley Chastain, Pat Coleman, Richard Dickson, Donna Jean Martin; a number of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Thursday August 16, 2012 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ron Laney will officiate.
