Margie Saine

Margie Saine, 71, of Dahlonega died Friday September 11, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness. Born January 3, 1938 in Dawson County to the late Pool and Edna Jones, she had lived in Lumpkin County since 1964. Mrs. Saine was formerly employed by the Smith House in Dahlonega and started her banking career in 1983 at Lumpkin County Bank. She also worked for First Community Bank and until her retirement she was Assistant Vice President and Travel Club Director at Chestatee State Bank. She has been a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church since 1967 and was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory Roy Saine, sister, Jeannie Burt, and brothers, Lee Jones and Carlton Ash. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Roy Saine, Dahlonega; children, Wanda Edmondson, Dahlonega, Tabrina Saine, Dahlonega, Tracy Saine, Lawrenceville; sisters, Mildred Gaddis, Dawsonville, Ruby Barron, Dawsonville, Janet Pendergrass, Gainesville; brothers, Lonnie Jones, Dawsonville, Lloyd “Bug” Jones, Dawsonville, Cecil Jones, Dawsonville, Boyd “Bo” Jones, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Josh Edmondson, Torrey Nicely. Funeral services will be held Sunday September 13, 2009 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jerry Whitlock and Rev. Dean Bryant will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
