Rondall L. “Ron” Ward, 69, of Dawsonville died Friday August 27, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness. Born December 13, 1940 to the late Leon and Ruby Ward, he lived in Dawson County all but 13 years he lived in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Ward was a long distance truck driver with over Three and a half million miles of service with no accidents. A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, he will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Sue Ward, brothers, Johnny, Bobby, Tim, and Joe Ward, and sister, Carolyn Savage. Surviving are his sons and daughter in law, Ricky Ward, McDonough, Marty and Stefanie Ward, Dawsonville, Scott Ward, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, Benny and Willie Ward, Hampton, Richard and Labraye Ward, Macedonia, James and Nancy Ward, Tuscaloosa, AL, Emmit Ward, Douglasville; Sister, Jewell Ward, Douglasville; grandchildren, Stephanie Ward, Brittany Ward, Jacob Ward, Ronnie Ward, Jeri Ward, Candice Ward, and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Sunday August 29, 2010 at 4 o’clock at Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. Stephen Davis and Rev. Leonard W. Ridings will officiate.
