Rose Mary Hitt Little, 76, of Dawsonville died Monday September 14, 2009 at her residence following a period of declining health. Born December 20, 1932 in Pickens County to the late Joseph P. and Connie Jarrett, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 22 years having moved from Cherokee County. Mrs. Little was a homemaker and member of Cool Springs Baptist Church. She attended Tate High School where she excelled in basketball. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Little, daughter, Deborah Rose Hitt, and grandson, Jamey Kent. Surviving are her children, William and Peggy Hitt, Dawsonville, Pam and Andy Patterson, Dawsonville, Terry and Luteen Hitt, Jasper, Jo Ann and Jimmy Black, Fitzgerald, 11 grandchildren, 28, great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 16, 2009 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kenny Dacus and Rev. Keith Poss will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12 noon Tuesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.beardenfuneralhome.com.
