Stephen Brent Waters, 33, of Dahlonega passed away Tuesday April 9, 2013. Born October 25, 1979, Mr. Waters was a native of Dawson County and had lived in Lumpkin County for the past year. He was employed in commercial construction for Buckhaven Construction. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends. Stephen was a member of Goshen Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Elmer Waters and Clifton Crane. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Darlene Waters and Glen Corindia, Dawsonville; father, Edwin Waters, Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Derek and Megan Waters, Dawsonville; companion, Marci Langley, Dawsonville; daughter, Elana Carissa Adams, South Carolina; grandmothers, Ann Waters, Dawsonville; Bertha Mace, Dahlonega; aunts, Angela Crane, Jana Burnette, Virginia Orr, Barbara Waters; a number of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 13, 2013 at 3 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rodney Pilcher will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 until 9 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
