Susie B. Almond, 74, of Dahlonega passed away January 11, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health. Ms. Almond was born February 4, 1938 to the late Willard and Polly Flannigan. She was a resident of Forsyth County for most of her life until moving to Dahlonega in 1997. A member of Amicalola Baptist Church she was also preceded in death by a brother, James Flannigan. Surviving are her daughters, Pauline Frady, Dahlonega, Charlotte Chadwick, Cumming, Annie McClung, Lilburn, Sherry Barrett, Dahlonega; sons, Stanley Lamar Hudgins, Tate, Ronald Barrett, Haiwassee; sisters, Bertie Collins, Cumming, Betty Jones, Gainesville; brothers, Fred Flannigan, Cumming, Clyde Flannigan, Cumming; 20 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday January 14, 2013 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dennis Daniels will officiate. Interment will follow in the Amicalola Baptist Church Cemetery.
