William O. "Bill" Burnham Obituary

William O. “Bill” Burnham, 96, of Dawsonville passed away Monday October 14, 2013 at his residence following a period of declining health. Born March 10, 1917 in Douglasville, Georgia to the late Otho and Magnolia Burnham, he had lived in Dawson County over fifty years having moved from Morrow, GA. Dr. Burnham owned and operated a pharmacy in Hapeville, GA and opened Burnham’s Pharmacy when he moved to Dawsonville. Bill served as Coroner of Dawson County for 16 years and was a former president of the Dawsonville Lions Club. He was a U. S. Navy veteran, was a member of the Dawsonville Methodist Church, and was also preceded in death by his wives, Mildred Burnham and Ruth Burnham, and a brother, A. J. Burnham. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all his caregivers. Surviving are his daughter and son in law, Lynda and Marcus Crane; sons, William O. Burnham, Jr., Clark Burnham; grandchildren, Mark and Amanda Crane, Ashley and Johnny Trammell, Matthew Burnham; great grandchildren, Breanna Crane, Braden Crane, Isabella Trammell, Tanner Trammell; sister, Evelyn Smith; and his dearly beloved friends, Stephanie and Frank Talley. Graveside services will be held Tuesday October 15, 2013 at 2 o’clock at Westview Cemetery. At his request there will not be a visitation. Condolences may be expressed at www.beardenfuneralhome.com.
